Studio 118 was born from a vision and desire my husband and I had after moving to the beautiful and quaint town of Dunnellon. For those not familiar with Dunnellon, it is located a short distance southwest of Ocala and is at the junction of the Rainbow River and the Withlacoochee River. Upon our retirement from the busy and vibrant City of St. Petersburg, we were looking for a more laid-back setting. We found that in Dunnellon.

After arriving and getting settled, we found I could not locate a space to “play” at my hobby and passion which is art. I enjoy working with glass, from mosaic to stain glass, and creating with my kiln. I also enjoy having fun painting and using my imagination. We started looking around for a building to purchase and found the perfect one at 11871 Illinois Street – thus, Studio 118 was born. The building is 100 years old and has much history to it.

We wanted to bring the building back to life and create an environment that offers a place for the community to experience a class or an exhibit of interest. As well as, an event space to host your special event – wedding, shower, reunion, part. Your Place.
